About

Ricardo Veiga is the Co-founder of Polaris Management. After years of performing as a solo artist, Ricardo’s interest and passion in the film industry led him to move to Los Angeles where he worked with major studios as both a producer and a film composer. In 2011, Ricardo co-founded Pelican Films, which has produced a multitude of feature-length films now streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime. After nearly twenty-five years of working in the entertainment industry, Ricardo realized the great number of performing artists needing guidance with their careers. “There are so many great young artists today that need support to leverage the opportunities they have, negotiate a contract, manage their finances, and to maximize their network. My goal with Polaris management is to empower performers by helping them understand the industry and become Artist Entrepreneurs.”

Ricardo began his piano studies at the age of five in Pasadena, California. At the age of ten, Ricardo’s family moved to England where he continued his studies with Cliburn Gold Medalist, José Feghali. After several years in England, Ricardo’s family moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he continued his piano studies with internationally acclaimed pianist Linda Bustani. In 1994 Ricardo was awarded a full scholarship at Texas Christian University to resume his studies with José Feghali. In his free time, he enjoys using his creativity in the kitchen to explore a variety of foods in new recipes.

Polaris Management manages solo artists from three different continents.

A native of Oklahoma City, Tookah Sapper is Co-founder of Polaris Management. After receiving her Masters in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music, Tookah pursued an active career as a performing artist. She participated as a Studio Artist in the Chautauqua Opera Young Artist Program, and sang for two seasons as a member of the Resident Ensemble of American Opera Projects with their esteemed composer’s training program, "Composers & The Voice."  Tookah has performed as a concert soloist with various academic and professional ensembles.

Tookah’s interests in the performing arts industry pivoted from performance to business. With the drastic changes brought to classical performance by the COVID-19 Pandemic, Tookah and her business partner, Ricardo, set out to create an artist management program that would best serve classical artists of today.

Through Polaris Management, Tookah helps classical artists carve career paths that are authentic to who they are by using tools to build deep connections with their audiences and develop autonomy over their performance careers. Fun fact: ‘Tookah’ is a Cherokee (Native American) name that means ‘clear sight and far vision,’ and is pronounced like the two underlined words in this phrase: ‘I took a nap.’
